SYS only uses state of the art super maxi monohull yachts. As all SYS yachts are at the cutting edge of yacht design and performance SYS is able to attract the worlds finest sailors to exploit the full performance potential of each SYS yacht. Some of the sailors SYS employs for racing operations are:

Richard Bouzaid

NZ. Richard won the Americas Cup with Alinghi and is a veteran of the Volvo Ocean Race. He supplies all sails to SYS through his business, Doyle Sails NZ.

Pelle Petersen

Swe. Pelle is a triple Olympic Gold medallist in 3 different games. He is an Ocean Racing veteran, one of the true pioneers of the sport

Stig Westergaard

Dkk. Olympic sailor and veteran of the Volvo Ocean Race with Djuice.com.

Ian (Soapy) Moore

Nth Ir. Soapy is one of the worlds leading navigators. He was part of the Illbruck team which won the Volvo Ocean Race.

Stuart Quarrie

GB. Stuart is one of the best navigators in the world. He has been part of the Racing Team for SYS since 1998. He has competed in the Volvo Ocean Race and is the director of Cowes Week, the largest sailing event in the United Kingdom.

Rodney Ardern

NZ. Rodney was a watch captain for SEB in the Volvo Ocean Race (his third after Tokio and Swedish match) and part of the Alinghi team which won the Americas Cup.

Magnus Woxen

Swe. Magnus is a two times veteran of the Volvo Ocean Race with SEB and Swedish Match.

Mac Manion

US. Mac is a veteran ocean racer and has competed in most major offshore events as well as being senior engineer at the prestigious rigging firm of Aramid Rigging in the USA.

Billy Merrington

AUS. Billy is a Volvo Ocean Race veteran and maxi boat specialist. He was part of the Djuice crew in the 2001 Volvo Ocean Race and part of the Swedish America’s Cup team in 2003.

Staffan Linberg

Fin. Staffan is one of the leading match racing sailors in the world. He has been part of the SYS racing team since 1996.

Jali Makila

Fin. Jali is a triple Olympian. He has been part of the SYS racing team since 1996.

Justin Ferris

NZ, trimmer and sail designer. Justin has completed 4 Sydney-Hobart Races as well as the Transpac and as is a regular on the Farr40 circuit.
